Kids don’t always come up with all the ideas for play and sometimes don’t like our same old suggestions! Use this fun play decision chart to help give them ideas or to make a decision. Your child can answer the questions and follow the arrows to reveal the best suited play idea for their mood!
If your child is a bit older, they may like to have a go at making their own play decision chart. Building a flow chart requires logic, problem solving and creativity. We would love to see what they come up with. Add a comment to this article or email us and we will feature their creation.
Younger children will need to read the chart with an adult. They may ask to do the chart a few times to try out all the pathways. Sometimes it will take a bit of time for them to understand that they need to answer differently in order to get a different outcome. Understanding arrows and pathways teaches younger children logic and literacy to understand different types of charts.
